I had to do that with my blog by going into the design settings, then clicking on layout, then add a gadget. From there you can put a link on your page so other bloggers can follow your posts as soon as you write one up.
700 pounds is as bad as it soundshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10241299598682796712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2216335547973382113.post-30141483102544051952013-06-01T19:36:31.547-07:002013-06-01T19:36:31.547-07:00Rachael, welcome to blog world. It sounds like yo...Rachael, welcome to blog world. It sounds like your body is responding to healthier foods and exercise. I just want to encourage you to keep going. I take one oral med for diabetes, but did take 2 different pills when I was at my highest weight. The more you can add activity to your life the better your body will utilize that extra glucose circulating around in your body.

I'm also a nurse and want to encourage you to consider having a diabetes education session with either a diabetes educator or a registered dietician. If you have health insurance, you can contact your insurance company and let them know you want support in managing your Diabetes . They can direct you to what they would cover. (Most hospitals have their own diabetes education unit, and usually it would be covered by insurance.) Most insurance companies also have disease management programs where a nurse will talk with you on the phone , provide education , provide support or send you reading materials.

If you don't have insurance , contact your doctor to see if they can recommend or set up a diabetes -nutrition education appointment or do some research about what is available in your community. If you 've never had this kind of education , it will be worth the money. Even though I've been a diabetic for many years and I'm a nurse, I still have pursued dietician support a few times a year.

One thing I notice with your meal plans is there is inconsistent protein and fat through the day. Both will give you energy and make you feel full and satisfied and keep your blood sugars stabilized versus rising and lowering through the day.

I'm also a compulsive overeater, and one of the things I've learned through much trial / error / therapy/ research is that for me personally, I don't do well with completely restricting particular yummy favorite foods. Diet/ restriction rebounds for me in to compulsive behaviors. Finding the balance is the tough thing.. For some people, restriction from sugar and trigger food/ places is the only way they can make progress. I widsh you the best of luck. Feel free to post to me and check out some of the blogs on my blog list. There are some good blogs on therePJ Geekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16550278783075004470noreply@blogger.com
